As part of year 7s induction into school life at The Westleigh School, we organised an It's A knockout style activity day which focused on the important skills of teamwork, resilience, leadership skills and raising aspirations.  The week beginning Monday 23 November marked the start of this, leading up to an inter-form competition, “It’s a Knockout”, fondly named from an old television programme from bygone years.

 

The “It’s a Knockout” competition was held on Thursday 26 November on the school site and within the Year 7 zone.  It involved several large inflatable activities for year 7 to take part in and have an amazing, fun day. 

 

Across the week, students prepared for their team by designing banners, picking names for their teams, discussing the importance of team building and resilience. At the end of the day, there was a presentation ceremony to celebrate the hard work and commitment that had taken place with medals, trophies and certificates for the winners!
