
We are absolutely delighted to share that Miss Ormshaw has won a SEND Teaching Practitioner Excellence Award at the recent Shaw Education Trust GetSetGo Staff Awards. This is in recognition of her outstanding commitment to meeting the complex needs of children and placing inclusion at the heart of her practice every day.
Miss Ormshaw creates a fully inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive. Through her care, expertise and determination, she identifies barriers to learning and adapts provision to ensure all pupils can access education in a way that meets their individual needs.
Her dedication extends far beyond the classroom. Miss Ormshaw builds strong, trusting relationships with families across Westleigh, providing guidance, reassurance and practical support to help children receive consistent care both at school and at home.
A passionate advocate for the mental health and wellbeing of pupils with additional needs, Miss Ormshaw’s calm and nurturing approach helps some of our most vulnerable children feel safe, understood and confident.
Through her compassion, professionalism and relentless advocacy, Miss Ormshaw makes a lasting difference to pupils’ progress, confidence and wellbeing while strengthening the inclusive culture of our whole school community.
This award is a testament to the incredible difference Miss Ormshaw makes every day. We are immensely proud of her achievement and grateful for everything she does for our children, families and wider school community.
